Lea's Foundation will participate in the fair by covering the cost of testing people for inculsion on the National Marrow Donor Registry.
The Registry is the one last hope for children and adults to locate a compatible donor for a stem cell or bone marrow transplant when no family member or relative matches the blood type of the patients.
Last year’s event was a success with more than 24,000 Connecticut residents receiving free health screenings such as vision, mammography, bone density and much more… all absolutely free!! The Festival also featured more than 100 different companies and organizations providing health information, seminars, and activities for the entire family. We’re looking forward to the 2009 event because we know that it will be better than ever!

Location: CityPlace in Downtown Hartford, CT
Time: 9:00am - 12:00 Noon Enjoy food & prizes
You think your physically fit, join us on Sunday, to prove it to yourself by climbing the stairs at CityPlace. There are 37 flights, and 814 steps at CityPlace representing a challenge to those that believe they are physically fit and can climb the stairs at least one time. There will be prizes for the one who climbs the mosts times and many other challenges that day.
It is not a timed event, but we can make that arrangement for you. Water is available at various rest stops along the way.
